Collaboration art show with Noa Emberson at Kaiao Space in 2024.
“Taking Shape” is a collaboration by designer and illustrators Jordan Higa and Noa Emberson. Through screenprinting, they explore the process of creating art and building a life together in Pauoa Valley, finding inspiration and comfort in the shapes that surround them.
The collection uses screenprinting to blend their artistic stylesーJordan’s fluid expression and Noa’s geometric approach. Their process begins by creating libraries of shapes inspired by Pauoa Valley, then exchanging and combining them until they find the ideal balance of organic flow and structure.

Encased in glass and weighing 700 lbs, the mural anchors the kitchen space alongside custom mugs, placemats, and a companion book I designed sharing the stories behind each dish.
